My sister being chased by a bear! Look out Chrissy!!
(Ok, I'll fess up. I've been playing with photoshop again. Thank you, Chrissy, for posing with the bear for me. :) )

December 27

This was the first time, ever, that I put a platform under the tree. I don't think I did too bad for a beginner. My grandfather (Pappy Highland) put up a "Putz", as he'd call it, every year and growing up, I remember my dad putting one up as well. Seeing the train was one of my best Christmas memories as a child and I am so glad that my boys will have some great memories of the train as well. I guess, I should stick to "still" pictures, rather than movies. LOL I took this video so I can watch it all throughout the year. It will be hard for me to disassemble when the time comes. (If it were up to me, I'd leave it up all year long! LOL) I'm already thinking about how I will do it next year and what details I will add. It was so much fun!

Memmy gave us a gingerbread Christmas tree to make. We decided to make it tonight and we'll have it for dessert tomorrow. We had lots of fun! Thank you, Mem! :)

One last thing before bed (yeah, right, I'm sure they'll fall asleep fast). We also sprinkled some reindeer food out in the yard.

If you see any of these people on the street, please explain to them that holographic eyes on a Santa are supposed to look like they are blinking. AND, he's not just blinking at you, everyone can see it. LOL Ahhhh, family. Ya gotta love them!

December 18

*Flashback* Today I was at the school to help with the PTO bake sale. Mrs. Lewis (my 2nd grade teacher) and I were talking about having Christmas trees fall over. LOL This happened to us when Brad was little and wanted to hang candy canes on the tree all by himself when he was 3 years old. (1999)

We visited Santa today. I told the boys to ask Santa for a haircut.

December 12

Dennis took this pic tonight. Guess I should have given him a quick lesson on how to use my camera before I left the table? lol Using the flash would've made a big difference!

December 7

Yes, she did it again! For Christmas we will pool our money together and buy Mom her very own U-Haul truck. She uses them often. *wink* She moved back to "Little Alaska" (it's pronounced, "Freeland".)

Wishing you the best, Mom! We love you!

December 6

We went for our Christmas tree today. The boys and I chose this one. It was a bit odd this year getting such a small tree. We had to go small this year because of our platform.

Here is our tree all decorated. :) It looks taller on the platform and we are happy with our choice......Now, we have to try even harder to keep the cats off of the platform. They loved to lay under the tree last year. Eeek!

December 1

It's DECEMBER already!!! I have 2 pics today. The first is of Collin. He made "Student of the Month" for December. Way to go Collin! He and I filled out the paper, attatched a pic, and it will hang in the hallway at school. He will get an award at the end of the month. (Student of the Month means that he is showing improvement, gets along well with others, and participates in class.)
And, second, this one is for my brother. Ted, how could you possibly shoot something with antlers?
