This was the first time, ever, that I put a platform under the tree. I don't think I did too bad for a beginner. My grandfather (Pappy Highland) put up a "Putz", as he'd call it, every year and growing up, I remember my dad putting one up as well. Seeing the train was one of my best Christmas memories as a child and I am so glad that my boys will have some great memories of the train as well. I guess, I should stick to "still" pictures, rather than movies. LOL I took this video so I can watch it all throughout the year. It will be hard for me to disassemble when the time comes. (If it were up to me, I'd leave it up all year long! LOL) I'm already thinking about how I will do it next year and what details I will add. It was so much fun!

Santa was here! Merry Christmas!

Memmy gave us a gingerbread Christmas tree to make. We decided to make it tonight and we'll have it for dessert tomorrow. We had lots of fun! Thank you, Mem! :)

One last thing before bed (yeah, right, I'm sure they'll fall asleep fast). We also sprinkled some reindeer food out in the yard.
